We are experimenting with a new Big Breakfast Service on the 4th Sunday of each month in St Mary’s Lenham.  This will have elements from the Breakfast Service and is also designed to appeal to those with a more traditional bent.  It is for the whole family from toddlers to seniors and will start with a cooked breakfast at 9.30 am for worship at 10 am.  There will still be an

8 am spoken Holy Communion on that Sunday.

                                       First steps is a group of mums, dads,                              

                                  grannies, nannies, aunties and carers which

                                     runs on Wednesdays 10.30am to noon

                                   during term times at St. Mary’s, Lenham. 

Come and join our friendly, welcoming group, share your stories of first steps as the children play, sing, and

get creative with craft activities.

       Soup Saturday at St John’s

              Soup is served in Harrietsham Church on

the 2nd Saturday of the month (12 – 2pm).

 

Fitness at St Mary’s runs every Tuesday in term time between 9 and 9.45 am in St Mary’s, Lenham.  Bring a friend if you like.

The Rt Revd Trevor Willmott, Bishop of Dover

has announced his intention to retire in May 2019.

 

The funeral of Doreen Furmidge will be held at Charing Crematorium on Tuesday 16th October at 11.20am.

Please pray for all who loved and knew her.

 

Millie is leading a Service at the Heart of Kent Hospice,

Preston Hall at 3pm next Sunday (21st October). We, at Len Valley, are supporting the Heart of Kent Hospice by taking a short service about four times yearly.  If you are able, please do come along to support the Hospice and as a witness to those visiting and any patients that may join us. Thank you.

 

Focus on Faith  The next Bible Day for women will be held in Ryarsh village hall on Thursday 17th October, 9.15am to 2.15pm There is a small charge of £10 which includes drinks, soup and a sandwich lunch. Speaker: Lizzy Smallwood

St Lukestide Service of Healing and Blessing

Canterbury Cathedral Crypt - Sunday 21st October at 6.30pm

The Living Well’s annual service at which there is an opportunity to receive anointing and healing prayer.

 

Deanery Synod Meeting - Tuesday 23rd October at 7.30, Hollingbourne Village Hall.  Rev. Ronni Lamont, Diocesan Faith and Nurture Adviser will speak about Godly Play and Children's Work.  Anyone involved in children's and youth work and leadership of the church is encouraged to attend.
