Sponsor a Youth Bible

We have now purchased Youth Bibles for the children within the Benefice who are leaving primary school this summer. Following your kindness last year, we are inviting members of the congregation to sponsor a bible (suggested donation £9) but all donations are gratefully received).  Please contact Millie or John if you would be willing to be a sponsor.

Revd. John will be away and unable to receive messages from 22/4 to 8/5, apart from 24/4.  Part of this time will be spent with others from the Benefice on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. We will be setting up a Facebook Group for this so that anybody can see photos of our progress & ‘virtually' join us in our exploration.

Do you care about kids and youths?

and the life of our church?

Some of the ‘stuff’ that we do with children and young people (ChYP) that the church supports in Len Valley is flourishing:

·       Our 2 C of E schools

·       Some of our services

But some areas would get an OFSTED “Requires improvement”:

·       Some of our family services see almost no families

·       Youths - where?

Some people from LVB have been to another church which has good and

well-attended all-aged worship, and to a conference on ChYP, worship and church.  We need to hear their feedback.

If you are involved in our schools and/or churches in the Len Valley Benefice and are interested in how we can build work with ChYP, please come along to a meeting from 2 -4 pm on 1st June.  This will be a structured open forum to prayerfully find our way forward as a benefice.  If you have ChYP and want to bring them, please do so and bring some quiet entertainment for them.   Nathan Wilson, a youth missioner from Ashford, will be helping us.  Numbers are limited so please speak to John or Sarah, ‘phone (850280 or 850604) or email churchoffice@lvb.org.uk

Our annual Rose Service will be held at Lenham Church

on Sunday 19th May at 3pm.

It is a time when when we can remember those who have died with the opportunity to light a candle during the service and to either bring a rose or collect one as you arrive at the church.  There is time for reflection, a time for our memories and for giving thanks for all our loved ones have meant to us and for all they will go on meaning to us.  Everyone is welcome to join us.

Thank you for joining us today. We would love

you to stay for refreshments after the service
